Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • For an article with several authors, the first author indicated in the manuscript is assumed to be the head writer or lead researcher. The order of authors and/or the list of authors should be final before submission.
  • Once the article has been submitted to the IJPEC journal for publication and the process has begun, you are not allowed to submit it to other journal publications unless you withdraw your submission to the journal and it has been approved by the editorial board. You may send your withdrawal letter to journal@pechronicle.com
  • The document to be uploaded should be in a Word document file Format. font size 11.
    The manuscript is prepared according to the IJSEP author guidelines.
    Clear and informative title.
    Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations.
    Corresponding author is clearly indicated with email and ORCID ID (if available).
    Title- Font Style- Times New Roman, Bold; Font Size-22; Font Color- Black
    Author Details- Font Style- Times New Roman; Font Size-11; Font Color- Blue
    Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations.
    Structured abstract (maximum 250 words).
    3–5 appropriate keywords relevant to the study.
    Sections include: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
    Tables and figures are numbered and properly captioned.
    Figures are submitted in high resolution (≥300 dpi).
    Tables are editable and not embedded as images.
    References formatted according to APA 7th Edition style.
    All in-text citations have corresponding entries in the reference list.
  • When available, URLs for the references have been provided. DOI, if available, must be included for the journal articles cited in this paper.

Manuscript Preparation

1. General Format

  • Format: Follow the journal’s template for formatting (font type, size, margins, spacing).

  • Title Page:

    • Manuscript title

    • Author names, affiliations, and email addresses

    • Corresponding author’s details

  • Abstract: A concise summary (150–300 words) outlining the research's purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords relevant to the study.

  • Main Sections:

    • Introduction: Background, research objectives, and study significance

    • Methods: Detailed description of the methodology for reproducibility

    • Results: Clear presentation of findings, supported by tables and figures

    • Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and implications

    • Conclusion: Summary of findings and potential future work

  • References: Use the citation style required by the journal (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago, or journal-specific style)

  • Figures and Tables:

    • Submit high-resolution images (e.g., JPEG, PNG, or TIFF)

    • Number figures and tables sequentially with descriptive captions

    • Embed them in the manuscript and upload separately if required

Note: The article must not exceed 15 pages.

2. Ethical and Plagiarism Considerations

  • Plagiarism Policy:

    • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and unpublished. Do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.

    • Plagiarism Check: Most journals use plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). Ensure your manuscript has less than the acceptable similarity index (typically <15%).

    • Proper Citation: Credit all ideas, text, figures, or data borrowed from other works. Use quotation marks for direct quotes and provide in-text citations.

    • Self-Plagiarism: Avoid recycling your previously published work without proper citation or permission.

  • Consequences of Plagiarism:

    • Manuscripts with detected plagiarism will be rejected outright

    • Severe cases may lead to a ban on future submissions or notification to your institution

3. Authorship and Contributions

  • Criteria: List only those who contributed significantly to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research

  • Acknowledgments: Mention funding sources, technical assistance, or other non-author contributions

  • Conflicts of Interest: Declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts

4. Data Availability

  • Statement: Include a data availability statement detailing where supporting data can be accessed

  • Supplementary Material: Upload additional files like datasets, appendices, or multimedia if relevant

5. Submission Process

  • Online Portal: Submit via the journal’s online submission system

  • Cover Letter:

    • Address the editor-in-chief

    • Highlight the manuscript's significance

    • Confirm adherence to ethical standards and originality

  • File Formats: Upload the manuscript in Word format

6. Peer Review and Revisions

  • Peer Review: Be prepared for a double-blind or single-blind review process

  • Revisions: Address reviewers’ comments thoroughly and provide a detailed response to their feedback

7. Fees and Open Access

  • Article Processing Charges (APC): Check for submission, publication, or open-access fees

8. Post-Acceptance

  • Proofreading: Review the final proof for errors

  • Copyright: Sign the copyright transfer agreement or opt for a Creative Commons license for open access
