  • Contemporary Perspectives in Physical Education, Sports Performance, and Athlete Well-Being
    Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025)

The Inaugural Issue of the International Journal of Physical Education and Coaching (IJPEC) brings together empirical and applied research that highlights emerging trends in physical education, sports science, coaching, and athlete well-being. This issue emphasizes the multidimensional nature of performance, integrating physical, psychological, social, and pedagogical perspectives.

The featured studies examine wellness and well-being among physical education and health teachers, the impact of innovative sports equipment such as carbon fiber–plated shoes on athletic performance, and the role of structured exercise interventions in managing academic stress among sedentary university students. Additionally, this issue explores performance enhancement through plyometric training in women’s volleyball athletes, investigates group cohesion in team sports within higher education settings, and assesses training competencies and coaching styles among badminton coaches.

Collectively, these contributions underscore the importance of evidence-based training, holistic wellness, effective coaching practices, and psychosocial factors in advancing physical education and sports performance. This issue sets the foundation for IJPEC’s commitment to interdisciplinary, practitioner-oriented, and research-driven scholarship in physical education and coaching sciences.
