Archiving & Preservation Policy
International Journal on Physical Education Chronicle: Insights of Kinesthetics, Sports & Nutrition (IJKSN) is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of all its published content. The journal recognizes the importance of maintaining academic research for future scholars and adopts the following strategies:
- Digital Preservation: All published articles are digitally preserved through multiple mechanisms:
- LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): Enables decentralized, distributed archiving among libraries.
- CLOCKSS: Ensures long-term access to content in case of journal discontinuation or publisher failure.
- PKP Preservation Network (PN): Utilized through our Open Journal System (OJS) to maintain permanent archiving.
- Institutional Repositories: Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their articles in institutional or subject-specific repositories, with full citation and metadata.
- Self-Archiving Policy: IJKSN supports open access and allows authors to:
- Archive both pre-print and post-print versions of their manuscripts.
- Host the publisher’s PDF on personal or institutional websites with appropriate attribution to IJKSN.
- Metadata and Indexing: All article metadata is accurately managed and indexed in global databases such as Google Scholar, enhancing visibility and discoverability.
- Redundancy and Backup: Regular backups of all journal content (articles, metadata, user data) are maintained in secure, geographically separate locations to ensure data safety.
- In the Event of Discontinuation: If IJKSN ceases publication, all published content will remain freely accessible and permanently archived via CLOCKSS and LOCKSS systems.
